How About a Quilt?

Pinwheel pattern

Here's another quilt to be auctioned off to benefit the Berkeley Food Pantry!  I just finished hand-stitching the binding, and it's ready to go.

The quilt is 100% cotton, machine washable, and 45" square, the perfect size for a lap quilt to use while you're reading or watching TV.   It's also a size that will work as a baby quilt.

Here's how it looks on my own personal veg-out chair

The back is coral, with strips of color:

Color is a brighter coral than shown here; see photo with chair, above

Angie Woolman donated the beautiful machine-quilting, in a pattern of circles and squares.  For an extra $25, I'll hand-embroider a label for it with the recipient's name and whatever else you'd like (within reason; embroidering is tedious).

The winner will make out a check directly to the Berkeley Food Pantry and get the tax deduction.

If you'd make a bid,  please let me know in the comment box, on Facebook, or e-mail me.  If there's competition (oh, please--remember it's a good cause!), I'll post updates.  Would a starting bid of $75 be reasonable?  Food stamps are being cut for many recipients TODAY.

Winner to be announced on November 21.
