The sister of a fellow blogger/friend thinks bloggers are narcissistic and who cares about someone's every thought.
I am on the brink of taking this to heart and writing only about the swell of democracy in the Middle East, books of interest, and state and federal budget priorities. To hell with sodden wallets and wall switches.

Now that wouldn't be fun, we could just read the news!
Someone recently asked me if I thought bloggers were being narcissistic and after some pondering I told him no. First off life is f'ing hard. People blog because they are trying to figure something out or trying to amuse or whatever. It's becomes a vehicle for the writer to learn more about his/her self and it helps the reader question him/her self. If the blog is too narcissistic it will be boring and no one will continue to read it, and it will die somewhere in cyberspace. And no one will be the worse for it. I think also it creates a bridge across the divide connecting our pain with the other's pain which allows ourselves to know that as shitty and as mundane and as confused, etc as we are we can find comfort in the fact that everyone is muddling through this life in the best and sometimes not so best way we/they can.
So, keep on writing. I just found this because you posted the link on your travel blog, someone out here is enjoying your musings.
