Trudging, Biking, Drinking

Trail-bound in Jerry's car
Any minute now I need to start packing, but I'm procrastinating like mad, because as soon as I start putting things in boxes for the return trip to the Real World (Berkeley), the peace will be broken, and I'm back to to-do lists.  I've even started one.

The last couple of days involved:

A hike on the Sky Trail-Old Pine Trail-Bear Valley Trail, for a total of 5.5 miles, some of which was uphill trudging.  But of lot of it was ideal:  a flat trail in dappled sunlight on a warm day.  Bliss!

Sun-dappled and flat

Bay trees

Hurray,  the car!

A collapse with a good book (and puzzle pieces, which are being ignored)

The next day, another bike ride on the Cross Marin Trail, only deeper into Samuel P. Taylor Park, off the paved trail.

A drink with friends-of-friends at their Inverness house with a tremendous view of Tomales Bay:

View from their living room windows

Last night, a small panic over Jerry losing his car keys.  How to get all our stuff back to Berkeley?  An extra trip required, back to Inverness with keys, etc., etc., ETC.  Much searching.  Finally found them in his bathroom (why?).

Off to more avoidance...
